Weird. I gotta stop reading these age gap stories.

This review contains spoilers. I gotta stop reading these age gap stories. It's so unrealistic and gross when one is in high school and the other is a full-blown working adult. Make them both high schoolers growing up together or at least a college student and a working adult if the story needs age gap/life experience wish fulfillment. Spoiler alert: he waits for her to grow up and is a gentleman and they get married, but in all circumstances it is super weird and inappropriate for an adult to consider let alone date a high school student. Yucky.

Three different pairings and not enough backstory or clarity on any of them. The characters were interesting enough, but it felt like none of the stories actually went anywhere or developed. The stories ended before anything was actually explained or anything happened.

It's a really short read and part of me wishes there were more. Both men were respectful and responsible adults, which is appreciated. The relationship build was believable and human. It was nice.

There is absolutely no reason for this age gap.

The war story is okay. The idea of a flower force is fine. Even making romantic partners mandatory is whatever. BUT A MINOR PAIRED WITH AN ADULT PARTNER IS AND _ALWAYS_ WILL BE _GROSS_.

Stupid. I don't know why I read the whole thing.

I really hate these stories where the guy assaults a protesting girl but the plot says its okay because we eventually learn he loves her but he's too emotionally constipated to be a real person. I kept hoping she would just kick him in the nuts. I'm always so disappointed. I need to learn to abandon these types of gross stories that reward bad behavior.

Slow burn

This just proves to me that I don't understand Japanese romances. So many seem to jump straight from a crush into "I love you!" and then they just couple up. It's no surprise that they misunderstand each other. This one just didn't feel realistic to me.

I hate-read this whole story.

The character designs were cute, but I should have dropped it as soon as the I knew the direction the story would take. I kept hoping the story would turn and let the girl eventually stand up for herself so the boy could get a clue that sexual harassment being justified as "I just love you so much" is not cute and shouldn't be rewarded. Let the jerk repent of being an jerk. But no, even the "kind" rival love interest was pushy. I finished the story to punish myself. Next time I see this trope, I'll just properly abandon it.
