SurprisedAt where the story went. I liked that the FL had agency and didn't change who she was for the ML. I was a little worried when Boss man tried the work pressure outside of work, but FL handled it. I wound up rooting for them. Second story was cute too.

Consenting adultsThis review contains spoilers. That's about it. "Gangster heir" wouldn't have that much freedom to say no to inheriting tasks and trying to live as an ordinary man. I'm glad he wasn't a psycho or sadist. "Ordinary but gentle woman" can be nice, but she was basically a prop even with her shared fate backstory.

Cute!This review contains spoilers. I definitely don't like that they gave up the dog. They could've found a new place together or the story should've had more lead on a nice family nearby that had kids, time, and room so he could still see the dog and how happy it was with the new owners. Expand their circle of friendships, y'know? But I liked their dynamic and the old man cleaned up nice.

Cute charactersI really wanted the ML to be more bold. It felt like he got stronger and more confident, but he still wasn't very in charge of his own direction; he kind floated where the plot took him and let others make the decisions.

Cute, harmless storyI would've liked more exploration into the stories of the witch and saintess, and more about the political relationships of the different kingdoms, and the fact the lakes seem to have sentience, but the story wrapped up.

SweetSweet characters that drag their feet and hesitate but make the reader want to root for them. The plot is a little slow moving because of it, but still enjoyable.

Sweet.The softness of the relationship was a nice contrast to the harsh realities life dealt them. This one feels like it could be expanded, but it still had a nice flow.

Who calls it that?There are so many better words than "pseudo-relationship". It took me out every single time I had to read the stupid phrase. Affair, tryst, dalliance, no-strings-attatched, casual, physical, fling, liaison, intrigue, flirtation!

Dangerous.This review contains spoilers. 10 years is a long time to be afraid. The ML was stuck in harmful thinking and behavior patterns for longer than that. While I appreciate the idea that people can change, there wasn't nearly enough distance and professional therapy for either of the leads.
