I liked the premise, but the story felt a little too short and I was left wanting more. I’ll do anything to support Namio-sensei though 🫡

I love straight-laced semes who have to hold themselves back, so the first couple was perfect for me. The art was very cute, and there were some pretty heartfelt moments towards the end.

Sadly, I lost interest when it came to the second couple. There were some interesting plot points, but I kinda drifted off because the series is still ongoing. May come back to it eventually!

Yamamoto-sensei is one of the best at creating great character dynamics, and this story is no exception. I really enjoyed seeing the contrast between the two leads… also PHILIPPINES mentioned 😍

Where to even begin? The art, amazing. The characters, beautiful. The story, touching.

Quite possibly the best standalone BL I’ve read this year. And I’m hoping that Manga Plaza can also license/translate the extra booklet + sensei’s other ongoing work because I need MORE 😭

Estranged friends to lovers is my favorite BL trope so I enjoyed this one! Didn’t enjoy the second couple as much as the first sadly, but the story was still fine.

I read some of Michi-sensei’s works on CMOA, so I’m super happy that we’re finally getting an English release!

This one did not disappoint. Chief Sakura is so clueless, it’s funny, and that extra scene at the end was so great. I am begging Manga Plaza not only for more Michi, but also more mid-30s BL 😭

The premise makes it sound like the story is a thinly-veiled excuse to see them get it on, but it gets surprisingly deep when we learn more about why Kaoru has trouble sleeping.

Definitely worth the read!

These two are one of my favorite BL couples, and this short side story shows why! They’re so funny even during steamy scenes. The art and paneling is perfect.

But I’m making an exception for Namio-sensei. I absolutely adore her art, and this manga was my introduction to her. She definitely loves her blonde x black couples haha.

The art is really beautiful and I’m all for stories starring older men, but I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing. Maybe I wanted to know a little more about why Sakura is so distrustful and evasive?

Besides that, the translation can feel a bit stiff and rough at times. It almost reads like some lines were directly translated from Japanese instead of being translated to read like more natural-sounding English.

I loved seeing their relationship naturally develop. Especially loved how secretly whipped Ryota was!
