It went in a different direction

The relationship went in a different direction than I was expecting, which was better than expected. The opening chapter screamed red flag and reality doesn't usually end so positively.

Great art but a little lacking

The art is really beautiful and I’m all for stories starring older men, but I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing. Maybe I wanted to know a little more about why Sakura is so distrustful and evasive?

Besides that, the translation can feel a bit stiff and rough at times. It almost reads like some lines were directly translated from Japanese instead of being translated to read like more natural-sounding English.

この作者さんの好きなところは、体やセッの描き方(どちゃうまいし、エロい)はもちろんなんですが、キャラの人となりをちゃんと会話や仕草で見せてくれるところなんです。独り言みたいな語りで全部済ます一歩通行みたいな関係じゃなくて、ちゃんと自然な対話で表現されてるから、本当にそこにのそキャラが存在して、それを壁から見せてもらってる感じ。ぱっと見の汎用性高い可愛さやかっこよさじゃなくて「相手からこう見えてる」ってのが感じられて素晴らしい。何度も読み返すだろうな・・

What I like about this artist is, of course, how he draws bodies and scenes (how good and erotic), but he also shows the character's personality with proper conversation and gestures. It's all done with talking to myself. It's not a one-step relationship, and it's expressed through proper natural dialogue, so I feel like there really is such a character there, and they're being shown through a wall. It's wonderful to be able to feel “this way from your opponent” rather than the cuteness and coolness that is highly versatile at first glance. I'm sure I'll reread it over and over again...
