This review contains spoilers. This is a beautiful story that handles some heavy topics: emotional abuse, societal expectations, and finding your way in life.

Beyond the main characters, even the side characters are fleshed out and believable. It was interesting to see some of the ex’s motivations, his actions are never justified, but he is also given depth that explains why turned out the way he did instead of just dismissing him as a bad person.

It’s very nice to see Miku grow and become more confident, and it’s great seeing how her and Yves support each other as they forge their path among people who don’t always understand them.
