    So wholesome
This review contains spoilers. Great story ! It is to read a story where the age gap is not cringy. I wish we could get more from the old man feelings but it is okay.

Omg I love this so much!!!
This was such a sweet story! I was expecting it to be more of a "crazy hijinks" sort of series but it was a little more down to earth than that. I do wish there'd been a little bit more spiciness to the romance scenes but this was a wonderful story

    Slow and comforting burn
Even though the main characters jumped into their relationship fast. The boundaries they set and how they grew to love each other was so lovely.

    Just right
Cute and original storyline, definitely one of my favorites here. Love the art and the characters. Uncomplicated an not cliched.

    Great read
Loved it. Sad I finished it. Not the typical manga story line. Wholesome. Wish there was more like this out there

    nice and wholesome
Reading Salt & Pepper and Pudding felt like a warm hug on a quiet day. It's a sweet, slow-paced slice-of-life story that gently explores relationships, self-growth, and the comfort of everyday routines. The characters—each with their quirks—feel real and grounded, and there's something incredibly soothing about watching them connect over simple meals and moments.

What stood out to me most was the subtle emotional depth. It doesn’t try to be dramatic or flashy, but instead builds intimacy through soft dialogue and expressions. The art style complements that feeling perfectly—clean and expressive, almost like flipping through a cozy illustrated diary.

If you’re into calming stories with a touch of introspective warmth, this manga is a hidden gem.

Cute, wholesome age gap, “fake” marriage romance
I’m embarrassed it took me 14 chapters to figure out why it was called Salt & Pepper and Custard T_T Very cute story with age gap and a fake marriage that turns to real love tropes. Good pacing, and underlying conflicts are organic and flow realistically between each, instead of the pitfalls some manga face where each conflict has to be bigger and more devastating than the last.

Black Sesame Salt and Custard Pudding
Having been licensed on another manga streaming service, it was surprising to see this as a mangaplaza original. At first, the characters seem mismatched, but there's a lot more in store for them!
