Romantic imagery, practical storytellingReally effective collaboration between an artist with definite preoccupations (or at least talents) and a writer with firm grasp of serial rhythm. Costume research and keenly observed character design, as well as luscious hair illustration and classic romantic layout cartooning are given pleasing range, and each chapter contains its own satisfying, world-building capsule story while the greater plot—the one in the title—gets to its feet. This is a good example of why team-up cartooning can be so good for a book: everybody gets to concentrate on what they’re really good at, and no time or page space is wasted.

TerrificI love how all the pictures are very well drawn but the one thing is puzzling me they tell you the book is free until the end of March but once you get the chapter 4 you have to pay for it.. The story is doing good and for some reason my card will not go through..

Gorgeous art face pacingThis review contains spoilers. The art is very well made, Fina and the general are gorgeous characters. Main character Fina is her own person and stands her ground. But there are some 0 to 100 moments that feel sudden and out of place but the story is fun so far.

Unique artstyle and charming charactersThe artstyle took some getting used to, but afterwards I realized how gorgeous the details are! This series quickly escalates into a steamy situation where Fina unabashedly helps the general out, and he becomes taken with her. I mean, who wouldn't, she's an outspoken and capable female lead. I hope there is more romance between them soon!
