The Stone Cold General & the Maid Perplexed by His Burning Passion Manga Reviews

This review contains spoilers. I think the art is stunning, and I appreciate a confident female lead, but I don’t think this story is progressing in a way I’ll eventually enjoy. I find the male lead too difficult to justify their romantic relationship. He’s probably autistic, but he’s also too difficult to have a conversation with. I dislike men like that. When it comes to the promotional pages I saw on instagram that led me here, I thought they were anticlimactic when I read them irl. I wanted MORE PASSION, MORE ENERGY! I want the male lead to be more passionate. Him purchasing duvets out of gratitude doesn’t satisfy my desire.

Most importantly, I think there are too many side plots! For example, there was a segment in chapter 5 where they introduced a woman being forced to do something by a scary gang… it just came outta nowhere and I don’t want to pivot yet! There’s limited space in each chapter and I’d like it to be focused on the couple as much as possible. Anyway, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing more chapters.
