Reviews for Vinland Saga Manga

This review contains spoilers. There are differences in the historical background of the work and the presence or absence of battle depictions, etc., but I felt that the theme was philosophical “human change” similar to “Planets” by the same author. There is also a depiction of a battlefield, but rather than the battle itself being the main character, it is a work where you can feel changes in the values of “conflict,” “happiness,” and “justice” of the characters, including the main character. However, since the main character is not the type of saint who has accumulated good deeds, people who have a sense of resistance to that part may not be suitable.

This review contains spoilers. The detail was amazing, and it was a fantastic work that dragged the reader all the way to the depths. Also, the sequel is a work I'm very interested in, and I wanted to read it

This review contains spoilers. It is a very impressive work that expresses a human life with mountains and valleys, set in a foreign country a long time ago. Even if her status falls along the way, I can get courage from the sight of Torfin, who crawls up again after being released and struggles to create an ideal place. Also, there are philosophical issues that occasionally come up in the story that make readers think. For example, what is love, what is ideal... we are also paying attention to their actions in confronting questions that cannot be answered with just one simple word.

This review contains spoilers. I read it because I wanted to read beyond the anime, but before I knew it, I had read all of them. The hardest part was when Torfin, who was cute, became a vengeful demon, didn't listen to his father's advice, and went into battle, but that was really still a prologue. It's a historical comic, and there are battles, but it's not the main one just because it's necessary to form the core of the story. The main character's boyhood was rough, and thanks to that, he was hit by various disasters. I think the goal of the Vinland saga is ultimate pacifism. I think Asherad is the most attractive character in the manga world. There are also many heinous and outrageous scenes, but there aren't many characters that captivate readers this much. I think the character portrayal of villains is better than that Togashi-sensei.

I was sluggish to my boss when I was in my second year as a member of society, so I can read it even with this. I was told to read it. Thanks to that, I regained my passion for work, and I still remember the content clearly. In this comic, humanity must not kill people or take them away. It's a story about an era before people had common understandings of such common values, so various misfortunes hit people. How would I have lived in that era? It's very interesting when I read it when I think about it. It's a very bloody comic, but I think the essence of this comic is philosophy and the idea of peace. Because of this stinky era, it was a work that should have been animated, and I want everyone to read it.
