Satsuki Fujinaga, 28, is a diligent and capable prosecutor's assistant. Despite excelling at her job, she has never been in a romantic relationship, something that constantly worries her parents. Around this time, she is assigned to work with Yoshito Isa, a prosecutor two years younger than her who initially comes across as frivolous and unreliable. However, as she sees how seriously he approaches his work, her impression of him gradually improves.

One evening, Yoshito invites Satsuki out to dinner. To her surprise, he takes her to an elegant restaurant in a luxury hotel.

"Are you going on an arranged marriage meeting?" he asks, referring to a conversation with her mother. Then, completely out of the blue, he adds, "If you are open to anyone, how about me, as your marriage partner?"
