  A story of the struggles and growth of an autistic child and his surroundings
  This review contains spoilers. 光くんのお母さんの気持ちが痛いほどに伝わってきます。実話に基づいているためか、とてもリアル。自閉症について周りが理解しているかどうかでも、親子の辛さは違ってきますね。私もこの漫画で少しですが理解できたように思います。自閉症の本人は世の中の見え方が違っていて、理解できずにパニックを起こすのは無理がないと思えました。治すのではなく、個性の一つとしてあるがままを受け入れ、生活しやすく粘り強く働きかけていくことが大切なんですね。少しづつでも、私も含め世の中が変わっていければと思いました。

  This review contains spoilers. Hikaru's mother's feelings are painfully conveyed. It's very real, probably because it's based on a true story. The pain of parents and children differs depending on whether people around them understand autism or not. I think I was able to understand this comic, albeit a little bit. The person with autism sees the world in a different way, and I thought it was reasonable for them to panic because they couldn't understand it. It's important not to cure it, but to accept it as one of your individuality and work tenaciously to make life easier. I wish the world could change little by little, including myself.

  自閉症を知り、理解し、受け入れるために
  To know, understand, and accept autism
  自閉症について知るのに良書です。作者の戸部先生ご自身が作品の中でたびたび触れているように、全ての自閉症児が光くんと同じというわけではなく、かなり個人差があるそうですが、自閉症児の一例としてでも知る価値はあると思います。それにしても、自閉症児の母である主人公の苦労たるや、読んでいて胸が締め付けられるようでした。言葉も気持ちもなかなか伝わらない我が子を抱えて、苦悩や葛藤、挫折感や無力感、周囲の誤解や無理解…このレビューを書きながら思い出すだけでも辛い（泣）。作中、主人公は我が子が自閉症という事実を受け入れて理解して、周囲の理解や支援も得られて、前向きに生きていけるようになりますが、現実ではそうもいかずに苦しむ親も子供もたくさんいるのでしょうね。この作品を通して、自閉症についての理解が広まってほしいと心から願います。

  It's a great book to learn about autism. As the author Tobe himself often mentioned in his work, not all autistic children are the same as Hikaru, and it seems that there are quite a few individual differences, but I think it's worth knowing even as an example of an autistic child. Even so, the hardships of the main character, who is the mother of an autistic child, seemed to tighten my heart while reading it. I have my own child whose words and feelings aren't easily conveyed, and it's painful just to remember while writing this review (crying): anguish, conflict, frustration, helplessness, misunderstandings and ununderstanding of those around me. In the story, the main character accepts and understands the fact that his child has autism, and is able to live positively, getting understanding and support from his surroundings, but in reality, there are probably many parents and children who suffer without that being the case. I sincerely hope that understanding of autism will spread through this work.
