  Animation-like dynamism

203 pages. A series of short stories with a fixed protagonist, inspired by the Showa era. 5 episodes plus a bonus drawing. The unit for atmospheric pressure is millibars, not hectopascals. It's Showa era. I think people who are fascinated by “walking in boots filled with water” seen on standing reading would buy it. Hana, an elementary school student, and her friend Uta-chan also appear along the way. It was very good that these two were on good terms. The adventures of children in the Showa era, when adults were still busy and children couldn't get enough of their eyes, are depicted with brushstrokes full of dynamism. I thought this book, which began on the night of the typhoon, was nostalgic and heartwarming, but the next episode had an amazing development (mysterious plants and robots appear), gathered courage to apologize to the older sister in the neighborhood, and was washed away by dam water, and it was a bit scary. It feels like going back and forth between reality and fantasy, and it may just be the “shape of a child's world.”
