Overachieving former gifted kids will definitely relate to Sono's struggles. Just when she thinks she's done everything right, her perfect life falls apart and she has to contend with her "failure" as she puts the pieces back together. What I really love about this comic is how realistic the emotions and characters' reactions feel. The main romance is a super slowburn, with lots of mistaken identities and interference, and helps tie together the threads of Sono's personal-growth character arc. There's always some new drama with a side character or a backstory reveal to keep things moving while our FL and ML take time to brood over their feelings.
