  私は、強い女性のヒロインが好きなのだけれど、この物語のヒロイングレースのように元は軍籍が有り、保安官だった亡き父親の任期を引き継ぐことが出来るような女性を意味しているわけではない。彼女は強いというよりも強靭。残念ながらこの物語の中の彼女の背景は色々と割愛されていて彼女が分からない。なぜ軍にいたか、母親はどうしたのか、兄弟は？これらは、彼女の行動の理由を説明することになる重要な部分だ。表題にある「せつない献身」は、ヒーロージャクソンに恋したことの意味だが、なぜ彼女が、困った彼を捨てておくことが出来ないのか ただ彼の顔が、体躯が素敵だっただけとう理由になってしまっていて私を説得してくれないから残念なのだ。それとは対照的なのはジャクソン。彼は記憶を失っているので細かな素性を挙げ連ねることは物語の進行上必要だから当たり前に記述があるが、ここから彼の行動の意味を考えられる。彼は お子様。興味のある事には我武者羅だがそれ以外は疎ましいと考えている。だから、作中の彼の行動が私に理解できるのだ。記憶が無いから感情だけの行動の理由付けに成功していて「好きだーっ」（作中では本人は気付いていない）とまっしぐらなのは心地よいが、なにせお子様だものだから 行動がハチャメチャでトキメキとは縁遠いが、これはこれで面白い。4人の側近たちも配置されて彼の育ってきた中にも希望があったと記されているが、活躍は乏しくシリーズ物でもないらしいから残念で、掘り下げ具合に歯がゆさが残った。

Four close aides were also arranged, and it is described that there was hope even when he grew up, but it was a pity that his activities were scarce and it didn't seem to be a series product, and it was still painful to dig in.
