Violin girl, piano boyThe story just contains drama and empowering speech-like dialogue. The guy friend is a character I would add to my dislike list on an anime tracking website. The slapstick humor does nothing to lighten the mood. It doesn't make it any less draining, yet tear jerking. Some arcs end suddenly, but adding new characters make some moments drag on for too long. There's a noticeable use of light and how the dark represents Arima's emotions and how those around him can bring him back out from his own thoughts. All the interactions Arima had with those affiliated with an instrument about a piano just shows how toxic that industry is. To top it off, things like the performances were repetitive.

Far more bitter than it was sweetThis review contains spoilers. This is a slow story which focused on a dramatic tale of two individuals saving eachother through the power of music. I feel the FMC should've just been honest from the start rather than waiting until the end but this is a sad story making you want to cry.
