When Meredith reaches the backwoods of Australia, where her younger sister is working, she stands dumbfounded in front of the vast land with clouds of red dust dancing around her. At first Lucy hated Guy. Working at a farm in Australia, grinding flour, Guy constantly calls her "Cinderella." Whenever he does, she feels like smiling and has a hard time calming down. Guy is handsome and smells of the privileged classes, but then again, since he is a visitor to the farm it is easy to think this.
