The thing I loved most from the 1st season is how Hikari found the true love she wanted.
And from the 2nd... well, the kids found a way to save themselves. Like a true and real family thing.
It was loooong, but so satisfying to watch their everyday actions. Just like a soap-opera with hot scenes ;)
