Don't read if you don't like unhappy endings
This review contains spoilers. It's honestly heartbreaking, like nothing goes well for Akiko. I don't really blame Haruki, the love interest, for how she reacted - she was forced into a stereotype she didn't enjoy and then went along with a joke that went too far. But she was cruel for starting (at least I think she started it)/perpetuating a cruel rumour and then was homphobic on top of crushing Akiko. And then for Akiko, she clung to Haruki in an unhealthy was because her mother is abusive and she feels lost and alone, only to have the person she cared for hurt her so badly.

Like it's well written but there's nothing happy about this story and I don't know if the tags reflect that. Not every story has to have a point and not every story has to have a happy ending, but I don't see the point in this story. There's no silver lining, Akiko gets hurt and that's where it ends.

    Kept me hooked!
A very interesting look at how trust can be warped and how things might not always be as they seem. Loved the characters, I think all were very fun and interesting. There's something so human about how relationships change us. Sometimes forr the better and sometimes not. Regardless, a very fun read. Some really interesting plot twists that I wasn't prepared for! The writer really set the stage well.

    Subversive storytelling done well!
I cannot praise this story highly enough! It's so fun, fantastic art, interesting characters, subversive stereotypes done remarkably well and intruiging! I cannot wait for more!

I tried to call this a m.a.s.t.e.r-piece but apparently m.a.s.t.e.r is innapropriate, wtf?
