This is the second title I’ve read by this author and I loved it! It’s the perfect balance between romance and spice. Everything is meaningful. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. 

This is a completed story which is a big bonus :)

Maybe it’s my own personal preference, but the spicy writing is highly lacking in this title. It happens so fast and they say the most basic lines. There’s usually no emotional lead up to it. That, and I hate it when characters are constantly saying “don’t” or “no” during spicy stuff when you know by that point in the title it’s completely consensual. It makes it feel really weird. There are also point when they do it in very public places where they definitely would’ve been caught and with the way the FL talks someone would have thought it was r*pe.

That aside, the rest of the writing is alright. But there honestly feels like there are more s*x scenes than talking and “getting to know/love you in our adult relationship”.

So far this is my favorite title I’ve read here. 

The main reason is because even though the first chapter feels a little… “clickbait-y” is the best way to describe it…these characters genuinely care for each other. 

One of the things I can hate the most is when authors make one of the characters constantly be like “oh don’t do this” or “no don’t do that” or are like “I just want your ____ in me” Because it makes it feel like the character is resisting or isn’t doing it consensually even though you know they are. Thankfully, this is NOT that but has plenty of spice! 

There’s character development and world building too but it never strays too far from the MCs.

I’ve read up to chapter 19 (the first payed chapter for premium members) and this title sure does take you through a mix of emotions.

You’re forced to rethink what love is defined by. What you would and wouldn’t do for the love of your life. How far empathy and/or sympathy should go. And much more.

Up to this point there haven’t been any “traditional” spicy scenes. So if you’re looking for that this one is an extremely slow burn.

There is a bit of an age gap. Between the boyfriend and the couple. 

Every character is really sweet and doesn’t want the others to be hurt by whatever is going on in the plot. They’re all genuinely good people just trying to figure out who they are and what to do.
