Do yourself a favor and give this series a chance. Readers’ support and the author’s dedication have kept this excellent series alive via independent publishing after the original Japanese serialization was canceled. After interacting with overseas fans and seeing their love for the series, the author also ensured there would be an English adaptation.

I don’t know if the original Japanese serialization was a marketing failure or if this story just appeals more to Western audiences, but the series is quite highly rated on *ahem* certain fan websites.

The art can be both adorable and beautiful and the fantasy setting is intriguing and far from generic. The story has sweet moments balanced out by serious and appropriate drama, which should appeal to anyone who enjoys a more mature take on relationships and conflict.
