First heads up: there’s no big indication of the needless violence and fridging until you start reading. I like some violence in manga, just usually when I’m expecting it and it feels warranted. Too many innocent children are killed on page here for it to feel justified. It’s just shock value and if you removed those panels from the manga you’d change very little.
Second point: there’s FL feels like so has no driving force behind her. In chapter 1 she just more or less accepts her fate until her maid says she hates the kingdom and FL just decides that’s her motivation now too. I’m fine with her being driven by revenge (kinda in the title you know), but it’s kinda weird to see the same character who established charity for her people decide all the innocents should be dead along with the maybe 4 people who ACTUALLY wronged her. Like yeah get your revenge but a bunch of people who’ve never seen you before are dead because you kinda just decided to be hateful?
Also don’t like how murdering the brigands is meant to be some kind of running joke?
Apart from violence there’s a couple other things that gave me the ick. Did we really need slaves?
I read every chapter hoping there would be something to catch my eye, but I guess this saved me from watching the anime …
