Once I Decided to Quit Being a Stand-In Fiancee, the Cold Dragon Prince Started Acting Strangely Manga Reviews

This review contains spoilers. The plot is very predictable. It was obvious that Julianna was Ludwig’s mate from the get go, and the fact that Ludwig knew this when they were kids is basically the premise of every “yandere-ish” male lead lol. The only real shocker of the manga is that the royal family has to offer their hair ONCE before adulthood to their mate and their mate has to accept for them to be recognized as a pair. I just don’t get why Ludwig couldn’t just TELL her that she was his mate when they were older—would’ve saved them a lot of trouble, but I know he thought she was rejecting him when he asked LMAO. And to be fair, Julianna did irk me a little bit. She wanted to leave him but cuts off his hair while knowing the significance of it because she wanted it as a souvenir??? I’m pretty sure the author just wasn’t sure how to go about making Ludwig and Julianna get together and rushed it.

The set up and premise of this were interesting enough for me to give it a try, but the ML’s internal response to the FL’s rejection of the marriage ended up raising a lot of red flags for me and came across as creepy rather than cute. Really ruined what would’ve been a nice short story for me.
