Reviews for Worth a Billion: Modern-Day Courtesan -Volume Edition Manga

I was so encouraged by this work myself! A 19-year-old girl was sold to Yoshiwara for 1 billion dollars, and even though there was a lot of rebellion and backlash, she eventually gave up running away from Yoshiwara and went on living... and I was encouraged by how she became stronger and bigger! It's too pathetic that the man I had my first love is such a wretch (crying)

I've really been waiting a long time, so I was excited to know that the latest volume will come out on 4/4. I was able to see how Mikura-san and Azami were progressing little by little, it was interesting and I'm happy...!

It is a youth comic where the 19-year-old protagonist, sold to Yoshiwara for 1 billion, lives strong despite being hurt. The protagonist, who accepts and confronts without succumbing to domination from the country, facilities, parents, and various customers, is very cool. The strong style also enhances the appeal. The sight of people with succumbing experiences desperately surviving without losing is also impressive. Both the painful past and dark incidents are depicted in pop thanks to the protagonist's young and unbridled personality, making it easier to read. Since you can feel the point of view of a female writer, there may be many situations where women sympathize. The characters' words and actions are so detailed that I think they are experienced people, and it's a level where people who have experienced it stop. The stage extends not only to the Red Zone, but also to entertainment, family, work, and romance. What controls her is not only power, violence, and money, but also “invisible domination” such as psychological control, use of affection, social norms and adjustment pressure, desire for evaluation and approval, and control of time and freedom are depicted in a variety of ways. Being controlled or being controlled. I think we live while confronting, running away, and accepting. I'm looking forward to the continuation.

I like it ❤️ what is it? It's an impossible, but interesting world. I like pictures, I like characters, I like stories. If modern Yoshiwara existed... would it be like this?

It was a work that was obliquely above my imagination and I didn't intend to buy it as a trial reading, but I was worried about the continuation, so when I noticed it, I bought the whole volume lol it's such an interesting work

Various forms of violence are depicted in this work. human trafficking. Forced ○ spring. toxic parents. exploitation. assault. mind control. While deceiving Ai, they are proud without lying. Weak people are always affected. They don't even have the ability to fight back; they are simply at the mercy of fate. This work teaches you how to fight when you get caught unreasonably like that. How to take a fighting pose, how to fight back... by the time you finish reading it, the beautiful lights of anger that only people who don't give up will light up in your heart.

I came across this comic when I was worried about my life, and I think it's a comic that sticks to many people from various perspectives, and I really like it and I definitely want you to read it!

It's a comic that gives me strength to confront something without blurring from the beginning to volume 9. I want to cheer for thistles, and at the same time, I also feel that I am being supported.

It's too funny. I don't always feel nervous, and I like this shio-plum the most. cool. It's cool. I like Miyayanagi-sama

When I tried the trial reading, I was strangely concerned about the continuation, so I read the whole volume all at once. The relationships swirling around in present-day Yoshiwara and the ugly hearts and unyielding appearance of people are interesting. The story etc. are difficult, so it's a bit aimed at adults.

It was set in Yoshiwara, and it was a work I had never read before, so it was fresh, and I read further and further as I couldn't read the story development.

I thought it was a love story main story, but it was totally different! The modern version of Yoshiwara is an unprecedented setting, and it's nice that the story progresses while involving the darkness of modern society!

When I read it while wondering if it was a Cinderella story where I met Spadari and was happy because it was from Yoshiwara, it was completely different and I was betrayed in a good sense. It was impressive that it depicted social issues, delicate psychological depictions, and how people live while having various things while also depicting romantic aspects.

The near future, or rather the present, is a slightly different world of Yoshiwara Kakai. It is a mix of modernity and the old-fashioned feel of Yoshiwara, and I feel a fresh appeal. The pictures are beautiful, and the story isn't commonplace, and the design makes you want to read ahead and see what's going to happen. Even though it's set in the world of flower drumsticks, there's little eroticism, and it's easy enough to read. Even though it's muddy, it's good that love is clumsy and unbalanced even when it's pure!

At first, I had the impression that it was hard to stick with, but the pictures and content were strong, and I was convinced that it was popular. I'm looking forward to the continuation.

It came from a recommendation, but when I thought it was a high-flying character, it was easy to read because it was a girl around there, and they also had romantic relationships.

Read it all at once, starting with a trial reading. The story development is interesting, even though I'm worried about the drawing, because I have a long neck. Kakai, Yoshiwara, modern, dark. They are all intertwined, deep, and humane. It's interesting.

It's set in present-day Yoshiwara, and I was wondering if romance was the main theme for the first few volumes. I'm surprised that they gave up long ago and took it for granted, such as the status of women in modern society and the superiority of men over women. The appearance of thistles fighting against tradition and common sense, and the unreasonable hurdles that people who support them collide with can be directly projected directly onto modern society, and I take my hat off to the author's ability. The controlling side isn't that bad, or rather, they just act within common sense, and that's why it's hard for thistles to understand what they're fighting against, and the reality is strangely strong. It's presumptuous, but personally, I can clearly understand Yamabuki's feelings of entrusting the hope of breaking through the glass ceiling, which he couldn't achieve on his own, to the next generation of thistles and supporting them behind the scenes. Regardless of whether they are aware of it or not, I think it contains a message that I definitely want women of all generations who have been subjected to unreasonable discrimination to feel.
