Reviews for The Angel of Elhamburg Manga

This review contains spoilers. It was a story where I felt the fragility of the heart of a person who was only looking for a way out, by puzzling the reason into [something]. The author, Aki, has wonderful expressions like this.

This review contains spoilers. I also have it in paper, but I wanted an electronic one, so I bought it. This is Aki sensei's first book that I bought, and I've become a fan of it. People who can see and people who can't see, and the feelings of longing and jealousy for what they don't have and friendship go hand in hand. I love it because the fantasy element called an angel makes it a very human-smelling work. I think it's the same in any era that if two friends make achievements on a project they run with each other and end up being a boss and subordinate, a relationship where you can't honestly say your weaknesses. In addition to that, even though angels don't feel like that at all, “if they are loved by angels, they'll be a good king” or “if the same angels are visible, there may be a blood connection”... how people look at things, decide “it's probably like this,” and they pass by each other... While my teeth are getting itchy, I'm also convinced. It's a very cinematic, theatrical, and quiet story. Some people may find it boring, but if you like quiet stories and depictions of human-smelling emotions, don't miss it.

This review contains spoilers. The worldview and pattern of the story are perfect, and it is a very engaging work. There are points where the content doesn't go down in places, but I think it's a work where you can enjoy the atmosphere. Even though they are best friends, they have complexes with each other due to differences between what they can see and what they can't see, and they end up sad at the end. The character of the main character, Lalvin, was fascinating, and I want him to be happy.
