Very Realistic & Complicated for Both Parties
I love how with both stories, there’s no good and bad guy like there typically is in these kind of stories. Instead, both the wife and husband are equally complex with their own issues and flaws. No one here is truly a bad partner nor is shamed by the narrative for their flaws. Instead, the narrative is subtly very understanding and objective. Rather than anything malicious, it’s both parties’ flaws in both stories that initially drive them apart again and again. It makes for some very messy and difficult conflicts, yet not the kind that’s overly dramatic.

I love how there’s no stereotypical gender roles in both stories, too. The characters do acknowledge society’s standard gender role expectations, but other than that, they don’t really define their relationships. They’re just individual people trying their best in their lives. It’s fun to see the children being treated seriously and written differently, too. Rather than being treated as a convenient narrative tool for garnering pity or increasing the stakes.

Overall, definitely worth the read. Especially if you can relate to any of them. I personally related the most to Ayaka and Takayuki, so it felt healing seeing them written in such a human, validating way. It’s so interesting reading slightly uncommonly depicted occupations, personalities, or tropes being written so human for once, too. Gives you some serious insight into people like them.

    A slice of realism
I love the two different journeys this series takes you on. Both partners in the marriage have their valid grievances and it's so fantastic at showing the breakdown then subsequently rebuilding of communication.
It was so refreshing to have that moral grey in a sea of black-and-white story telling.
Mature stories for adults who want to read about adult emotions and experiences. Very sweet resolutions for both.

    Interesting
So far so good. Im quite curious as to how it will end but I dont want to pay additional fees for extra chapters when I already pay for premium. I will probably unsubscribe because their arent many benefits to premium services atp.
