I usually don’t like romance protags, I find them all to be kinda annoying, generic, and boring, and they make a ton of frustrating and stupid decisions. They get manipulated very easily and take too long to stand up for themselves.

This series is so, so refreshing. Right off the bat, I was really intrigued by Beatrice. She’s very kind and well spoken, but more importantly, she’s very intelligent. She has a strong backbone and it’s satisfying to see her recognize and call out manipulation. She politely doesn’t take sh*t from annyone and stands her ground.

After all his behavior, I was certain they weren’t going to be able to make me sympathize for Ernest. Like I knew there was a tragic backstory reason for him acting like this, but I was so sure it wasn’t going to be good enough for me to feel bad for him. Surprisingly, it did. I don’t excuse his actions and I don’t forgive him, but I sympathize for his situation.

I kinda genuinely didn’t even care very much about the ‘better guy’ love interest. He’s fine, nice, all that, very supportive of Beatrice.

I don’t read this one for the romance, I read it for Beatrice <3

I found this today & binged all the chapters available! The story is interesting, keeps you engaged I'm just waiting to see where we go next!

My favourite story on manga plaza so far. Relatable protagonist and strong messages to the reader. I love a woman who is both vulnerable but also very aware of her worth and strives to find happiness. I look forward to more chapters.

I really touching story about breaking out of a bad relationship. The artwork is very pretty, the protagonist is very much enjoyable and the story is very well paced.

A beautiful story of learning to love oneself and recognize self worth, while also having compassion and realizing that those who hurt you may not have wanted to in the first place. It explores all sides of the story, and exposes the real villain- The person who spread their cruel and ruthless behaviour unti others when vulnerable. This has amazing messages that can be used in real world circumstances, and could almost act as a critique of how many people go about things. This is the only story Ive thought worth buying so far! Hopefully I didnt spoil anything!
