The Drops of God Manga Reviews

You know how in a lot of shounen adventure manga, the main characters have to go on a quest to gain a number of mystical objects to achieve their goal? “The Drops of God” is essentially this, but in a much more grounded setting. It’s the kind of quest an adult child could find themselves in if they have an eccentric enough parent with the fortitude to set one up. This manga isn’t merely about wine, but it’s the story of an adult son making sense of his father’s legacy and parenting.

As for the subject matter of wine, there’s a lot of research and affection for it in this series. There are many moments that make me wish I had the finances to engage in this hobby.

Highly recommended, wine aficionado or not!
