I was curious and bought the original. Coincidentally, I only remembered “Chihayaburu ~” in Hyakunin Isshu, and I wasn't particularly interested in it. As I read this work, it was an opportunity for me to notice the fun of Hyakunin Isshu. I think it would be nice if there were more wonderful works that can successfully shine a spotlight on this kind of culture.

was that good?

I knew it was made into a movie, but this was the first time I read it. I was moved by comics for the first time in a long time. That was really good.

Passionate youth group!!!

It seems that there is still a long way to go, but not only the main character but also the characters surrounding him have been dug deep, so it's easy to empathize with them anyway. There are also a lot of scenes that make my heart heat up, but it's amazing that they aren't pushy. A minor called competitive karuta (?) I learned about the competition, and the way Hyakunin Isshu is captured is also interesting, and it's a work I want to read while rereading it over and over until it's over.

You should read comics too!

This review contains spoilers.

This review contains spoilers. I read comics after watching movies, but I totally enjoyed it!! When it comes to movies, I like the new one, but comics are Taichi! There are a lot of laughing rolls, so I recommend buying them in bulk! I definitely want to read them all. I'm really thankful that I came across this work and was able to start karuta. May Taichi be happy.

You don't need to be familiar with Hyakunin Isshu

If you like high school student club activities and youth comics, this is a comic you can enjoy without being familiar with Hyakunin Isshu at all. The picture is beautiful, so those who like good-looking guys can go there lol The main characters are not limited to club activities, they are devoting their whole body and soul to Hyakunin Isshu, so I want to support them. It's an amazing work called a spectacular blockbuster about everyday life, taking into consideration the way of life up until then and the breathing of not only young people but also the people around them. Please read it slowly and little by little until the end.

nostalgic

The world of Hyakunin Isshu. I miss it. I learned it in middle school class. My family stayed up all night at the end of the year and did Hyakunin Isshu. I haven't done it now, but it's a nostalgic memory.

sports cartoon

I think it's the best sports comic. Of course, it's a well-balanced work packed with all elements of romance, friendship, and family love. But I'm still wondering which one Chihaya will choose!

神

deity

It was so cute, it had a story, and I actually read regular comics, but there were good points that were different from that.

“Karuta” has been promoted to the majors!

This review contains spoilers.

This review contains spoilers. Romance, youth, club activities, all included! However, now that it is nearing completion, I think it was a group drama about the “karuta” competition. Harada sensei is probably my favorite. When he was young, he was a handsome guy, a doctor, an enthusiastic culter, he cared about his wife, and he was a good teacher for the main characters, but not only did he raise him, but he hasn't given up on his own growth... Not just Harada-sensei, but Sudo-san, Tsuboguchi-san, Sakurazawa-sensei! There are so many favorite characters!! I think the reason “Chihayafuru” is different from other club activities is that it has two pillars: a high school championship, a tournament for only the same age group, and a tournament for any age, called the Meijin Queen game. Also, there are two battles, a team match and an individual match, so I won't get bored even if the depictions of the tournament continue. When it comes to romance manga... no, definitely, it's Taichi!!! I just want to scream. lol

Chihayafuru

Chihayafuru. This phrase, which everyone has probably heard at least once, is a phrase from Hyakunin Isshu. However, I want you to take a close look at this competition, which is a bit different from the Hyakunin Isshu that everyone usually imagines.

I've only read it halfway through, but it's a very interesting work that I'm curious about future developments! It's a hot comic that conveys tension even to those who read it.

As expected

I wanted to watch the movie first and read the original story. The manga has a better tempo, and it makes me want to go further and further. The pictures are beautiful and the work is easy to read.

熱い

sultry

Characters other than the main character are also well depicted, such as their thoughts on Karuta and past episodes from their childhood, etc., which is amazing. The National High School Tournament edition was really interesting!

I can read it all at once!

It's almost a sporadic manga. Not only the heroine Chihaya, but all of the other characters are fascinating and profound. Too bad that it will be over soon.

A mass of youth

The highlight is how Chihaya, who is forever straight forward, faces not only her own talents, but also her friends, teachers, juniors, and childhood friends while feeling hurt through karuta

A passionate group drama by people involved in karuta

Karuta is a competition that can be enjoyed by men and women of all ages. The players that appear include young people, the elderly, and others with disabilities. The group drama, which focuses on various people, such as the players' families and the people who run the tournament, is profound. It also depicts the appeal of Hyakunin Isshu as classical literature, and the personalities and relationships of poets, and also stirs up interest in waka poetry.

It's interesting.

I can't believe you can draw such hot comics with karuta! I was shocked. The pictures are beautiful, the story is a bit romantic, and the passion for karuta is conveyed very much.

I was free during Golden Week, so I haven't read it in a long time. It's been made into a movie in the past and I've always loved it!!

precious.

The love patterns peculiar to girls' comics are also very attractive, but above all else, my heart is heated by the feelings the main characters have on Karuta. I would also highly recommend this work to those who like shonen manga but don't really like girls' manga because the story is so bland.
