Issac has high specs

Even though he was originally a matchlock craftsman, he is a gun expert, can use swords, understand tactics, and can speak Dutch and German...

Furukiyoki

It's a story about the fate of a samurai who protects his in-laws, and the point is that it's not a sword but a matchlock. Very funny. It's interesting.

I'm glad DOULES-S's paintings have a sense of realism

I read all the volumes of “Until Death Divides the Two” (picture DOUBLE-S), so when I read volume 1 of Isaac as a test, I bought the entire volume because of an interesting development. There are shadows and a sense of realism in the picture, and the story is interesting.

This review contains spoilers.

This review contains spoilers. Samurai who go overseas and fight! Fresh and so funny! I thought it was about fighting with guns, but it's a pretty muddy battle, and I like it and I want to read it soon!

Samurai in the Sengoku period, in Europe

I wonder if this work unfolds a story where Japanese samurai from the Sengoku period drift to Europe and fight mercenaries instead of another world, and they would probably imagine at least once if they knew even a little bit of history. The main character, Isaac, who is neither a sword, nor a spear, mainly carries a matchlock and runs through the battlefield with precise and sophisticated snipers, is an attractive work. Please read it.

侍

Samurai

At first, it seemed ridiculous that Japanese samurai fought in Germany during the Holy Roman Empire with a matchlock in their hands, but after reading the afterword in volume 1, I understood that it was an unreasonable story. After that, I was really excited to see Isaac fighting in that other world.

It's insanely interesting!

Medieval European history isn't detailed, but it's interesting. It's an amazing setting to become a mercenary and come to Europe after Japan's summer campaign in Osaka! I also love Marginal Operations, which is serialized in the same Afternoon, but it makes me learn that mercenaries have existed since such a long time. I love history that isn't in textbooks because it's interesting. The depiction of battle scenes is also amazing!

3 volumes already read ⭐️⒋ 3

The artist “DOUBLE S,” who wanted to read in color and think the ugliness of the battle and the beauty of the landscape stood out, is from Korea?? Since I have completed what I want to be offered at a low price using generative AI only to colorize works where I live there and are interested in other works, I plan to buy them in a sober manner with priority number 1 for the time being?

Mercenaries of Vengeance

This review contains spoilers.

This review contains spoilers. Action where samurai fight in Europe from the end of the 16th century to the 17th century, roughly the same as Kenichi Sato's “The Man Who Became the Jaguar.” Isaac's way of life, where he values kindness, and intense battle scenes. The enemy Lorenzo hasn't appeared yet. Expectations are high for the next volume.

The Wandering Samurai

It's often a refresher, but it's not heavier than I thought, and it's a work that feels just right. This work isn't in another world but is set in a past era. If you read it, there are probably people who are confused by the historical background, but it's not the Roman Empire. It's a story after that, so don't think Italy has much to do with it. The story is omitted, but I recommend it because it's a well-crafted work

Serious

It's a mysterious Oriental knight period story active in foreign countries, and the setting was quite blurry, but I was able to read it without worrying about it because of the drawing power and good story!

Purchase up to 4 volumes

This review contains spoilers.

This review contains spoilers. I thought the first one was really good. Early modern Japanese people crossed from Hirado to Europe and were active as mercenaries... so romantic and catchy. (According to historical facts, it is said that many mercenaries actually traveled.) Is it because the pictures are simple and don't use a lot of tone? I like it because it has a unique atmosphere that is hard to see and is easy to see. The heroine (girl), who is a non-combatant, plays an active role at a milestone in the war situation, but isn't it really too much of a story gamble to hit a girl with no experience and let go of her matchlock in real life?! I thought about it and it cooled down. As a result of being dramatic, reality was reduced. The antagonist, Nerizo-kun, had quite a bit of behavior and sexual habits, and that was great.

Surprisingly real. It's not fantasy.

It's interesting. Japanese samurai fight in Europe! I heard, is it a fantasy thing at first?! I thought, but as I read on, I unexpectedly felt that it was a realistic story. According to an afterword by the author, there is a record that Japanese samurai traveled to Europe in groups of several hundred during this period and fought as mercenaries. I see. The main character, Isaac, is an amazing samurai, but that doesn't mean he has superhuman strength. It's a manga that you can enjoy as a real story.
