Reviews for Ajin: Demi-Human Manga

This review contains spoilers. Nagai felt that if he hadn't been involved in an accident, his life wouldn't have undergone major changes up to this point, and that he might have continued to live a normal daily life. However, it is a development where people around them drastically change because they know that they are “Ajin,” and eventually they naturally follow the fate of getting caught up in a chaotic world of armed conflict and destruction. I think it's a series where you can feel some kind of unexpected surprise or horror, where small, trivial things develop into events on an extremely large scale.

This review contains spoilers. Based on the setting that Ajin = someone who doesn't die, “what is a person?” I wonder if it's going to be an epic story like “Humanity vs. Ajin”...! It betrayed my expectations in a good way! The beginning depicts the confusion and flight of people who suddenly understood Ajin one day, and struggles with government agencies and “What is Ajin?” There is a process of getting to know, and the development is that Ajin, who had been oppressed, attacks back... Up to this point, I honestly thought it was a common development, but this is where this work is amazing! It became like Ajin's extremist faction vs. interceptor group, and the depiction of battle making use of the “don't die” setting became amazing, enemies and allies got mixed up, and in the end, they all went to stop Ajin Hitoshi, who was a battle fanatic, and in a sense, it was amazing that they all converged on a “small purpose”! I think this unique feeling after reading was created by not expanding the setting or worldview too much.

This review contains spoilers. He's immortal, but he's in pain. It's interesting to think that if even a part of the body remains, it will regenerate from there. It's also fun to be betrayed by developments in a good sense.

This review contains spoilers. The story progressed at a good tempo, so I was able to read on quickly. A unique view of the world was formed, and it was interesting.

This review contains spoilers. It was really great to read this comic that has never been seen before. I felt that I wanted to continue reading this comic.

This review contains spoilers. There are mysteries and questions, and I want to know the truth, so I want to read more. If you're immortal, you'll be endlessly tested on humans like this, so I thought it was disgusting.

This review contains spoilers. An immortal but not too cheat ability. There are proper rules, and it's interesting that Ajin's countermeasures are gradually being put together. However, I was a little dissatisfied with the fact that the story gradually took a slow pace.

This review contains spoilers. The battle between Sato and Kei is depicted from beginning to end. Of course, there are other Asian people, and there are governments that are hostile to Ajin, but in the end, how will they live? No matter how far Sato is, the ease of being honest with his own desires is insanity, and in a sense, it is the essence of a person. Somewhere in Kei's affairs, the cold-hearted part and, conversely, the tough part are conflicting, but it also depicts how complicated a person's inner world is, which was interesting.

This review contains spoilers. I read up to 16 volumes, and I thought I couldn't do anything anymore, but I'm glad I managed. I also watched episode 26 of the TV anime version and episode 3 of OAD on Netflix, and it was interesting. It's nice that a pachislot player also has an atmosphere. I also want to watch the movie version of Ajin.

This review contains spoilers. I watched the movie and read it because I was curious about the original story. The way the story progresses is slightly different from the movie, but it's interesting.
