Oct 14, 2026 (PST) | Total Reviews: 27I'm not convincedThe art looks super cute, and I generally quite enjoy the dynamic of a more dominant younger ML with an older FL. However, it lacks the depth and heartache potential of knowing someone for so long and then seeing them grow older and more mature (the two leads aren't explicitly childhood friends, but there seems to be some history). The yearning is missing. We are just told to accept their "closeness" before the story heads straight to the steamy parts. The whole time, the ML just looks like FL's celebrity crush, and I don't see the chemistry between the two leads. There are also times when the art feels amateurish, like the wrong hand was drawn holding something, the line work can feel sloppy, or the perspective of an object almost looks like it was photoshopped onto a person rather than actually interacting with the person. I'm not an artist, but these little details and lack of creativity/dynamism in expressing the female gaze has taken me out of the immersion. If it gets better later on, let me know. But I doubt I'll get interesting development of the two leads.
