"You'll just have to hold out until the sunrise again," he murmurs, looking at me with such adoring eyes... but wasn't I supposed to be the wicked wife he hates?!
Much to her surprise, our hero woke up one day as Ilse, the meddling and evil wife from a novel she once read. In the story, Ilse tries to come between the protagonist Gilbert and his beloved, only to end up trapped in a brothel with nothing to her name. Now, hoping to change the original plot, this new Ilse decides to get herself an amicable divorce from Gilbert. After all, if she can just avoid the tragic ending that's coming for her, life in this world might be kind of fun! Her plans come skidding to a stop, though, when Gilbert strides into her bedroom late that night. Poor Ilse is soon in over her head, suffering one indignity after the next at the (talented) hands of this coldly sadistic duke, and she just might be falling head over heels in the process... Come let this luxuriously dramatic fantasy romcom sweep you off your feet!

weirdly sweet noncon story with a Yuri sideplot

This review contains spoilers. If you don't like noncon, this is not for you. ML rapes and assaults FL constantly... BUT THE THING IS... he only does it because FL was reincarnated into the body of his rapist wife, who used to constantly rape and assault *him*. He does notice the personality change, but assumes she's faking it as another of her schemes. FL is often caught on the receiving end of vengeance for her old self, and it seems ML is going to start protecting her. Hopefully the noncon will start to soften, but there are several chapters of it. It's not super brutal, more riding the line with dubcon. Still. This story IS messed up.

Oh yeah, it's an otome-reincarnation trope, and the FL of the novel falls for the FL (the villainess) instead of her husband (the ML of the novel & manga). Unclear how far the Yuri will go, but it's cute. Doesn't seem like it'll be reciprocated, but a girl can dream.

Delightful and entertaining!

I'm not one to splurge on mangas but I am absolutely hooked! The art is absolutely beautiful and the storyline has been so delightful to follow. I'm really enjoying the development! Can't wait for more chapters to be released!

Really enjoying it!

The setting is a bit cliche but it’s actually a really cute story and an enjoyable read. Love the art style as well.

My favorite story yet, I am glad I found it.

It is a really good story so far, I honestly can't get enough of it. I am so invested, I must see what happens next! It feels each section is so short, but I do'nt mind it at all. It is worth supporting, as long as it continues! I can't wait!! 💕

The dubcon is a major plot point

And I personally sometimes feel like reading perverse media disguised as a stereotypical transmigration! The plot setup so far is enjoyable, I hope the author delivers on all of the upcoming action and not just let Ilse and her man have a happy ending.
