Lunatia, a viscount's daughter who possessed the ability of "Future Reading," had been used by her family as they pleased. Exploited even by her fiance, she eventually lost sight in one eye, the price of her ability. If things continued as they were, all five of her senses would disappear, and the only future awaiting her was to become little more than a shell of a person......
And so, Lunatia left home, aiming to "live freely and, at the end, meet a clean death." She made her way to the mansion of the "Moon-Devouring Marquess," a man said to be searching for a bride. Before Marquess Nox, feared as cruel and wicked, Lunatia put forward her terms:
"If you would make me your bride, I will read the future for you once a day."
"Of course, I have no need for a husband's love."
"And when I am no longer needed, at the end, please kill me by your hand."
Thus began a married life built on mutual advantage. She kept the price of her ability secret, yet cracks gradually began to show, and in time, her husband, who should have been cold and ruthless, came to turn devoted love toward her...?

Gorgeous Art Nouveau IllustrationsBeautiful illustrations, many in art nouveau style, that make full use of the scroll format and lighting. Good premise. Lovely plot that doesn’t fall in the monotony of the dominant tropes out there. A series that lingers with you, but not too long.
