"Today, I get to marry the man I love... but he doesn't love me." Lilia, a princess from the Ehre Kigndom, has admired Prince Oscar of the Glanz Kingdom for the longest time. However, it was decided early on that older sister, Isabella, would be the one to marry him due to her beauty and pride. Lilia had given up on the dream, but one day Isabella suddenly called off her betrothment. As someone of the Ehre royal family must marry into the Glanz Kingdom for continued peace, Lilia is now set to take the place of her older sister. Lilia is full of joy and concern all the same, but it feels as though this marriage sits in a shadow cast by Isabella, now looming over them. Prince Oscar seems to be distant, unconcerned with things, and Lilia is now buried in preparations as the crown princess. What will happen in this new and complicated relationship?

    Typical story with bad pacing
The author makes sure to hit all the typical story beats that you find in every other "loveless royal marriage between a Shy FL and a Cold ML" but there's nothing new or unique here.

The pacing makes an already boring story even more underwhelming. A plot line of political intrigue is resolved in about one chapter. The "mystery" of why the FL had to marry the ML is revealed in chapter 7 or so and as of chapter 10 the story seems to shift into a slice of life with no conflict on the horizon.

Slice of life is fine, but to start a slice of life story off with hints of the typical political intrigue and conflict in most "nobility" stories and then just wrap it all up in seven chapters is bizarre.

Miscommunication is the name of the game
A string of miscommunication. Everyone makes assumptions. No one communicates until things come to a head. And then it’s onto the next miscommunication and assumption.

Start seemed interesting, but then I read it.
This review contains spoilers. So after reading the first chapter, I decided to catch up on the series. Quite frankly, it's kinda bland.

Essentially, it's your generic "guy says something while FL is secretly listening, but it turns out what she heard was out of context" cliche. The way they did the cliche was even kinda bland.

Kinda feel like I wasted my money. Don't bother.

    Too many plot holes
Just to make us sympathetic towards the FL the ML ignores her (the reason that comes out at the end doesn’t give reason to why)

    Not a fan
I think it's the style of how they're drawn but they look flat and like they're wearing helmets made of hair?

The actual story is pretty frustrating too but also feels like nothing was happening and then everything magically came together in the latest chapter? The main plot device is lack of communication to but to a severe degree. You would think that the sisters would at least talk to each other???

Miscommunication in Royalty and Love
"If only they'd just sit down and say everything!" That's the fun part- they don't! Jokes aside, it's a classic trope in heart fluttering love stories but pair that with a malicious sister with a mysterious plan and a prince who may or may not be two steps ahead of her all while the princess is unsure of anything... that sounds like all the necessary pieces for a good, dramatic story!
