Kouken was born with a flower birthmark, which shows that she has a special power to use Kasen Mystics, the flower sorcery. She was able to read the memories of flowers and send the poor souls that still linger in this world as wraiths.
However, this sorcery was now hated by the empire. Because Kouken was the only one in the village with the power, she was treated cruelly by everyone.
When an envoy from Shuuyou, the imperial capital, came to the village, Kouken was captured and taken with them.
The fourth prince, Shuurei, found out that she has the power he was looking for and took her to the innner palace.
Kouken starts dealing with wraiths and send them to the pure land, which leads to solving mysterious cases inside the inner palace.

A-MA-ZING!!I love a "girl abused by family gets saved" trope and this is the best use of it I've seen! I love the subtle glimmer coming back to MCs eyes, her slowly learning to smile, and her inner thoughts slowly getting more about her rather than others! Absolutely amazing. I raved to my boyfriend about it and he said the MC sounded way more interesting than any popular comic MC to date haha! My only gripe is that there isnt more 🥹💔

Feel Good StoryThis review contains spoilers. I enjoyed reading this story. Kouken is such a sweet character. This was giving Apothecary diaries vibes in a way that I enjoyed. I would say the pacing is fast and the translations might need some work here and there. But overall this story really warmed my heart. Persecuted to empress is my fav trope. It isn’t the deepest story I’ve read and it was predictable but I still found it enjoyable. They could’ve made this into more chapters. All in all worth the quick read.

straight-forward story!Fantastic read! It doesn't drag on, there's no love-at-first-sight nonsense, the pacing, characters, etc... this story is fantastic! It begins and ends with all loose ends tied up! If you're into csi, crime, investigation stuff, this story is for you. Kouken learns to love herself through others. She is a strong girl. Shuurei also doesn't drag her down. He's a fantastic lead! The pacing might be quick but every story gets resolved without any nonsense. If only more stories were like this!

A rare gem!This story was so lovely! I’m glad I gave it a chance after seeing the Premium deal. Both the fl & ml are likeable, the art is gorgeous, there’s a bunch of interesting motifs and themes being incorporated nicely, and the story’s interesting with a good flow! I loved the little stories regarding the wraiths and the emotions and characterization in all of them <3
I appreciate how the story didn’t feel like it overplayed into the abused-hated-girl-picked-up-by-most-handsome-high-position-man trope as much as other similar shoujo stories do, too. It didn’t feel as predictable as a lot of them do, either (which I don’t mind relatively predictable, cheesy stories, but stuff like this is always extra nice and refreshing). No weird power inbalance, either.
This was overall a satisfying read that wrapped up nicely without needlessly dragging on anything, so I didn’t feel like it was too short! Absolutely worth the read! I definitely recommend it.
