Full disclosure, I've only read 3 chapters but it's the classic miscommunication trope.
Brother loves his wife but has made no effort to effectively communicate this with her and is stunned that she has left him.
Sis is too meek to ask her husband how he feels and won't hear him out now that he's seeking her out.
