I would have liked a bit more of a backstory for ML, and there are so much more potential for emotional stuff. It was still super cute. I didn't mind FL childishness as she is only 20 with not so much experience. Also she is a bit spoiled by her brother.

So That's the Deal feels like a hate to love trope based story on its surface, but has little emotional bursts in quiet scenes throughout that give it something unique. The FL's a total dork and the ML's a total chump, but the two of them together make a great character dynamic and elevate their personalities in a way that makes them grow on me a little. I've never been a big fan of hate to love tropes, but this story has me rethinking my tastes.
