In the novel Princess of the Black Rose, the wicked Esther finds pleasure in tormenting her younger sibling, the protagonist. However, this depiction couldn't be further from the truth. Esther, as the (current) world knows her, is an upright and kind individual. Due to her ability to heal, she is well-liked and admired among the citizens. Her younger sister Mytia, however, could not be more envious. During the evening of her engagement party, Esther catches Mytia secretly meeting with her fiance Daniel. An infuriated Mytia lunges towards Esther, and the next moment, Esther discovers that her Ability has been stolen!

As if thrust back into the events of the novel, Esther can no longer heal. And her engagement? Annulled. Weary of her younger sister's cruelty and her parents' now cold demeanor towards her, she seeks the comfort of Adele, her dearest friend, In an attempt to cheer Esther up, Adele suggests that she join her and her family on a trip to the neighboring country. However, before Esther can reply to her friend...she falls victim to her sister's scheme and is placed in a mental asylum. Sometime later, when Esther has all but resigned herself to a miserable life in confinement, Adele's family dispatches a messenger, providing her a chance at escape. But as soon as she makes it out, she receives the heart-wrenching news of Adele's passing. Spurred on by her dear friend's dying wish for her to find happiness, Esther now assumes her late friend's identity, vowing to bring justice to Mytia. Along the way, she meets the royal family's second son Prince Sirius. Esther...may soon realize that her new life might not go as planned.

It's so good!

It's so good! Not overdo and quite natural. The characters are well written. I love the art. I can't wait to read more and see how the story reveals! 🥰

Do not unto others...

This review contains spoilers. ...what you do not want done to yourself. Really, Mytia shouldn't have done a lot of things just because she's jealous of her elder sister. Not that their parents even attempt to stop her. (Aargh! Why does nobody question anything? Nobody but Sirius, that is.)
Fortunately, the FL has at least one good friend, Adele, who does everything she can to free her friend. She succeeds - at a cost.
Well, now the FL is out for vengeance if not justice against those who wronged her. Oh, and maybe prevent her other childhood friend's execution.
It's certainly tough being a) 'reawakened' and b) in a novel you can't quite remember all the details of.
This is fun to read with characters you can sympathize with and a story that leaves you eagerly waiting for the next chapter. (Even if I mixed up both princes because they looked so similar!) However, as of now, there have been only 4 chapters released. T__T

作画もストーリーも良き

Good drawing and story

This review contains spoilers. 復讐もの大好きですー！しかも顔と名前を変えて他人に成り代わるのが斬新ですね。ストーリー展開もテンポ良く、ヒロインの妹に対する復讐だけではなく、ヒーローであるシリウスと兄王子メイナードとの確執、また国を揺るがす暴動の行方など…盛りだくさんで、ますます面白くなってきました！アデルが賢くて強かなヒロインなので、無自覚純真無垢ヒロインが苦手な私もストレスフリーで楽しめてます笑7話まで配信中ですが、めちゃヤバいとこで終わってしまってるので続きが待ちきれません！作画も美しくて丁寧で良きですー

This review contains spoilers. I love revenge too! What's more, changing your face and name to take the place of someone else is novel, isn't it? The storyline was also well-paced, and not only was the heroine's revenge against her younger sister, but there were plenty of feuds between the hero Sirius and her older brother Prince Maynard, and the whereabouts of riots that shake the country... and it became more and more interesting! Adele is a smart and strong heroine, so I, who doesn't like unaware, innocent, and heroines, can enjoy it stress-free, and up to 7 episodes are being streamed lol, but it ended up with a really dangerous cousin, so I can't wait for the continuation! It's nice that the drawing is also beautiful and careful

Becoming her friend to exact revenge: The fact that the FL undergoes cosmetic surgery to get her revenge (and well, also to keep her "promise" to her late friend) certainly leaves an impression. The author already does an excellent job immediately hooking the reader in and setting the stage in the first chapter. And with plenty of drama plus a little magic thrown into the mix, you'll be waiting in anticipation to see how Adele's (Esther's) battle against fate unfolds!
