Great story with some nice plot twists.
I would loved to know more about what happened to the husband, and the counselor background.

USD 1.99 / 199pt
Haruka Takano is a 36 year old woman leading a peaceful and happy day life. But one day she sees the news about Tokyo IR, Japan's first casino, and becomes uneasy. She fears that her husband's gambling addiction might resurface. However, it's been 10 years since he's made a full recovery, and when she sees how kind and loving he is, she thinks that her anxiety is ridiculous. One morning however, Haruka notices that her husband's eyes are very vacant and hollow, so she calls out to him. He says he's fine. Then, after withdrawing all the deposits from their account, he disappears...

Sep 24, 2025 (PST) | Total Reviews: 30We love older protagonists!!This review contains spoilers. Unique storyline and while the protagonist being almost 40 is a nice hook, it also offered a lot to the story. Her motherly vibes and more open perspective were fresh and useful in solving the main plot. Tackled a lot of situations that occur in dark settings like this, but not as in depth or as seriously as I would have liked. The ending was satisfying (nice and neat) :))(1)

This whole story from the 1st chapter onward has so many gut-wrenching developments! I highly recommend for folks who like suspense, adventure, and mystery. Good luck! 😆
