I honestly didn’t expect Even a Replica Can Fall in Love to hit me as hard as it did. At first glance, it seems like a typical sci-fi romance, but it’s surprisingly emotional and thought-provoking. The story revolves around a humanoid replica who begins to experience emotions—especially love—and it raises such deep questions about identity, humanity, and what it really means to feel.
The pacing is gentle but steady, and the artwork complements the mood beautifully—clean, expressive, and sometimes melancholic. What really stuck with me was the bittersweet tone; it's not just about love, but also loneliness and the desire to be seen as more than just a copy.
If you're into soft sci-fi with a heart, and stories that explore feelings from a different angle, this one's worth a read.

On days when Sunao is sick, or not feeling like going to school, she is called to take her place.
She was born to this world when Sunao wished to have a substitute. No one knows that she exists, but she tries to do her best for Sunao whenever she is called.
One day she talks with Sanada, one of her classmates. They become friends, but soon he notices that she is different from the original Sunao...he was the first one who did.
She tells him to talk with her only when she has her hair half-up. Sanada does like she told him, and they enjoy their time together.
As they become closer, she realizes that she has special feelings toward Sanada. But she doesn't know what will happen to her...if she, a replica, falls in love.

Apr 29, 2026 (PST) | Translate to EnglishラブストーリーThis review contains spoilers. 嫌なことがある時、自分がもう一人いたらなぁって考えたことは誰にでも一度はあると思います。オリジナルの為に存在するレプリカ、か…。凄く切ない気持ちになるけど、繊細にキラキラ輝く美しいラブストーリーです。
