Romance School Life

Story :  Tsubaki Imai is the kind of quiet girl you'd never see in the center of attention. She doesn't really know how to talk to the cool kids at school like the loud boys and the bubbly girls,so she isn't exactly thrilled when she's assigned the seat next to Mamoru's,a big, unfriendly, and kind of scary guy who everyone at school seems to know. But,then, they both become class presidents, and as they start talking... This is a story about an ordinary girl who falls gradually in love...

    Main character is beyond annoying
The degree to which the main character is incapable for speaking for or thinking of herself is beyond annoying. It isn't sweet or admirable that she never challenged herself and then some dude makes it so that she literally never has to suffer the consequences of her inability to advocate for herself. I know there are many shy teenagers who struggle to speak for themselves, but part of growing and reaching adulthood is learning to speak up for yourself. I feel so frustrated watching her never learn from things or try to grow. She's stuck in her mindset and her ways and the narrative supports that as 'just how she is'. In reality, adulthood will require her to decide when she should and shouldn't speak up, and simply deciding to never do it, never try, never phrase things awkwardly or make a mistake, means that she's much more likely to snap or build resentment later and say something very badly or that she doesn't mean. All the way to chapter 5 and no character growth at all.
And her friend with the spectacles (the content monitoring won't let me say the more common word for spectacles lol) is so negative.

Refreshing Title In a Sea of Shoujo Manga
I absolutely am in love with the story, character development and personality of the leads. Both Mamoru and Tsubaki are endearing and realistically portrayed. I can't wait to see their development together. ❤ The art style is also very attractive. I would love for this story to be animated someday. Also I hope the manga will continue! Thank you for giving us such a wonderful story!

    Two Introverts Find Love
They say opposites attract, and, in fiction, this is usually exemplified by an extrovert-introvert relationship. This isn't the case here, though. Both characters are introverts, but their introversion is expressed in radically different ways. The male lead is a man of few words, but is very comfortable in his skin; the female lead, on the other hand, struggles to be with other people, as well as deprecating herself. It's a sweet story of a girl learning to love herself, as well as find love in the process.
