This review contains spoilers. This story is kind of BL but really isn't. Since FL despite turning into a man still feels like a woman. Now this brings up a whole nuance of being trans. But idk I feel as if maybe making FL a woman in the end, just with manly features? Just to stay true to her original character. Since she silently hints that she was a female human rather than a male. Despite saying she doesn't care, which in fact I do think she cares about.

Or maybe have the ML turn into a merman, that would've been an unexpected twist in my opinion. What would happen if two merpeople fell in love?

But then again this story has nuance in every way. Between being trans and accepting the fact you’ve fallen for someone that isn't your usual type, but can't deny your feelings.
