Love a slave king, love a knight, and love a lieutenant.
  This review contains spoilers.

This review contains spoilers. First of all, I would like to thank Professor Ogasawara for being able to enjoy the work by wrapping it while there are many works that have been completed in one volume. Also, since it is volume 2, the scale is huge. (And corrections are poor, too.) At first, I was stuck around the whole time, so I misunderstood that this was a comedy work. No, while laughing, it also has the bitterness of being humiliated, and this balance is carefully worked out in the Ogasawara style, though. Simply put, it's insanely interesting, and I really like it as a reading material. There are a lot of things already, like the slave king's costume, doting, etc. And above all else, the unshakable slave king risked his life on the knight from beginning to end. without the slightest hesitation or any regrets. That's really cool. The presence of a lieutenant was also a good spice. Isn't this lack of mind and relationship just because a man has a heart and body who can't leave the slave king even if he isn't rewarded, so precious! (←Get the most out of BL Moe here.) I can't help but admire Ogasawara's work, which has detailed settings, even the side characters.

The artist's pictures are simply beautiful, and the composition and background are wonderful. I want to read the sequel to The Two Freed. I definitely want to ask for it!

Maybe not everyone will accept it... but I like it

The first volume of this work came out over 15 years ago... so I don't feel like I can talk about it in my current sense. Even so, I think it still works well enough for people who like the Middle Ages, royal families, knights, etc. I thought it was a pretty bold scenario, such as combining fictional but intense BL with period ones. It's just my image, but the development of BL in the old days was aggressive, or rather, there's a tendency for people to want to bring it in right away. I thought so too when I recently read some old works by another writer. This one also has a similar feeling, but since there are battles, invasions, and conquests in the historical background, there was a feeling that it was somehow naturally accepted. So, little by little, “why is that happening?” There are things like “don't bring it to an amazing development,” but the way to bring it in and fold it up is so bold that I read it while being swallowed up by the momentum, and I was drawn into the story with so much intensity that I enjoyed it. I like it so much that I reread it several times (I noticed that I hadn't reviewed it after about 3 times), but I also think it might not be accepted by everyone...
