other than that, this manga is low on substance and feels like wading in a kiddie pool. female lead is like any other josei female lead, and the male lead feels flat.

This review contains spoilers. I kinda wish there was something more with the aphrodisiac aspect of the drink, but still a creative premise! It’s a pity that the ending felt cut a bit short, but the overall execution was good. I can’t say that I’m satisfied with the ending, but I’m glad the husband was able to share that part of his identity with his wife, I suppose. My ONE hang up is that he’s still working at the lounge, like why not go to a cross-dressing bar? The lounge is for servicing customers, he doesn’t need the money, so he’s just there for the rush/excitement he gets with the customers. The only thing I can understand is that he just likes the sense of community with the other employees, but that’s clearly not the only thing keeping him there. Genuinely makes no sense to me and feels borderline SOMETHING. It’s a good thing his wife has somehow enlightened into Buddha because that’s the only way I’ll believe someone who couldn’t handle 6mos of being sexless suddenly transforms into a paragon of understanding lol

I think a lot of what they went through was understandable to a degree, although a lot of their struggles seem to be his fault or stem from him. She seemed to have decided to settle regarding his messiness, which I think is fine. Not all people want to live in model houses, and they can also hire a housekeeper. What bothers me is how dependent he is on her with general things like searching for directions or even driving. Those logistical and organization responsibilities are things you generally have to take care of yourself and it’s exhausting when everything falls on you every single time. That’s how relationships go from going out for dates, to having dates at home, to never having dates at all because you resent the other person for never putting in effort. I would never start a family with a man like this. I cannot see him ever taking care of a living being. I’ll say it, she’s only okay with it now because he’s hot. The only difference between doing this labor for a hot vs. average man is how easy it is to take him back after she gets fed up.

This review contains spoilers. Love the anticipation! I’m not super invested in the cheating relationship as much as the dynamics between the two main couples. Clearly the series is not done, so who knows which way it will go, but as of ch22, I feel like the title is deceiving. I get the Kanae stealing her sister’s boyfriend, but I don’t understand who Yukiji is stealing from? Is Kanae’s boyfriend the guy who stole his past girlfriend? Also if it’s “each other’s lover”, there should be more cheating… There needs to be another cheating couple, which is why a lot of other people think Yui is going to cheat with Kaoru.
