This review contains spoilers. I don’t want to give too many spoilers, but the story could have easily done without about ten volumes—especially when the plot revolves entirely around a single festival.
It starts off exciting and refreshing, but ultimately becomes far too cheesy. Unfortunately, in the later volumes, the portrayal of women in this manga leans heavily towards the "housewife" stereotype; I found that quite disappointing.
I really admire the art style; it is beautiful and remains consistent throughout the entire series.
