Quick and IncompleteThis review contains spoilers. Although this story is tagged as complete it feels like it ends in the middle and the entire thing is rushed to the point of unbelievability. It's a cute enough premise but not well executed.

Bittersweet and hopefulThis review contains spoilers. This story doesn't deserve the 18+ rating IMO. Even the LGBT content is relegated to a side character who is barely in it. That said, the protagonist is a lovely character with real agency, a good heart, and an indomitable spirit, which is nice to see in a manga. The other MC has a very tragic backstory but finds healing in the relationship that grows between them. The exploration of what makes real family, real friendships, and real love is done well.

Slow paced but sweetThis review contains spoilers. IMO, this story went on longer than it needed to with artificial drama thrown in through rivals, false-rivals, and misunderstandings. But it has some features that really set it apart from a lot of the rest of the genre: the main characters talk about their feelings and their problems, they have realistic insecurities and the male LI isn't some idealized perfect man, the sex is consensual without false modesty or a totally passive female LI (she even takes the lead sometimes), and they don't climax 8+ times in a row and they're not always in the mood. There's a diverse supporting cast and a (mostly) believable relationship progression. It's nice.

Different than expected but good!This review contains spoilers. I was afraid of consent issues in this story because of the title and description but it was actually better than usual in this regard. The MC likes and appreciates the "lewd" way she's being thanked. And rather than a somewhat creepy stage or street magician, the LI is more like a sorcerer/magical being. The pacing is good for a short story and, all told, it's an enjoyable one.

Great story, misleading coverThis review contains spoilers. From the cover you'd think this is a bisexual and maybe poly story that is going to be heavy on the sex. It isn't that at all. It is a purely sapphic love story with a relatively mild and somewhat brief sex scene. It is a lovely story. I just wish the cover and summary reflected the content better.

Not really enemies to lovers but cute all the sameThe leads are more like frenemies. At least according to the guy. He reads as neurodivergent. He is equal parts obtuse and sweet. The love story unfolds at a pleasant pace and resolves nearly with no artificial drama from miscommunication or a late introduced love rival.

Lovely start to finishThis is a rare M/F manga romance where the characters (mostly) act like real people, the female lead has self-agency and goals beyond love, and the male love interest respects and cares about her outside of dating, expresses his feelings (including feeling shy and uncertain himself), and maybe rarest of all--the sex is consensual, careful, and totally mutual. 5 stars!

Chef's KissThis story is well paced and fun. There are a few translation errors but not so much the plot is hard to follow. The puppy enthusiasm of the love interest is endearing.

Unexpected, hot, and sweetI didn't know what to expect from this story but I was pleasantly surprised. All of the characters are more complex than they seem at first. And for a story that has as much sex as this one does, it is also quite tender.

Sweeter than you'd thinkThis story is sweeter than you'd think given the set up. Although the plot moves a little more quickly than seems realistic it's still got a lot of heart for a story with multiple unrequited love threads, jealousy, pining, and a pseudo love triangle.
