    a little dead
More than a little cartoonish (and the artist has an oral fixation because they draw teeth way too detailed) but not....terrible. Not particularly good but not terrible.

Neither leads are particularly bright - even using the abuse excuse, the FL can't think her way out of a wet paper bag actively melting around her - but they make up for that by being charming. The antagonists are stupid evil with bad motivations - especially the dad. He just does not think things through.

This would make a good hentai tho. It has a better plot than one but too weak in plot for a non hentai story. Just leaning on the side of being braindead. So mid out of ten.

    Falls off towards the end
Strong start and the premise is lovely - two outcasts getting together and not dealing with the nonsense of a society that hates them - but it goes downhill in the last few chapters, especially the last one. I strongly suspect it was axed so they tried to wrap everything up but it comes off as rushed and more than a little silly. Art is alright though I strongly suspect the artist either usually does shonen or far more adult projects when not doing shojo series like this.

If you stop reading when they both get their teachers, you would have a better time. Otherwise, this is a worse crash than (insert tragic crash here).

    A Realistic Take
If you tossed a shonen protagonist into a romance fantasy, you would roughly get this. Alvis is pretty gallant but is really quick to judge but will put on a polite face. The female lead is roughly just a prop to label this "romance" which some can argue it's because of her young age and training to be deferential but she really is a non-entity in terms of personality or desires.

I do like the supporting cast even if they get a bit hivemind and don't just explain to the clearly dense MC that he should speak frankly to the FL instead of just wafting about. Unfortunately, the only one with personality is the ogFL who is your typical delulu transmigrator (this isn't a spoiler, it's super obvious).

Art is mid to good and the plot leans more political than romantic, random blushing doki doki aside, so it's a nice light read verses something far more dramatic or silly. Like, the king actually does things and the guards/knights are cops who investigate and deal with threats instead of kissing noble butt (which they did do in real history) so that's neat.

Overall not a bad read and could be far worse.

    Peters off fast
It has a great initial premise but it quickly goes into the doldrums after she leaves the palace. The usual "let's make cosmetics and modern appliances" schtick every Japanese isekai/romance fantasy has. Also, she's supposed to be smart but she keeps either putting herself in danger or shocked by something a braindead reader would figure out 10 chapters ago.

I want to like the male lead but he looks like Sebastian (Black Butler) without the charm and zest. He's just a massive, boundary crossing simp and they really used him being a dragon to explain this but usually dragons are arrogant and haughty. His family is no better.

There is a lot of weird age gap stuff going on in here but that's Japan for you.

The art is good if not great but if you are looking for something thoughtful or even a "slow burn" as other readers have mentioned, this isn't it. It's a fast paced divorce power fantasy powered by an OP simp.

    scam
The chapters have been halved making it look like ther are way more chapters available than there are. Chapter 45 is actually half of chapter 21. Do not buy this here.

That aside this is a good series if you like arrogant characters being put in their place and championing of the underclass. The art is good and the female lead is fun. Male lead is going to have to work harder to catch her attention though.
