Cliche and overdone, but with spice
This review contains spoilers. Art is fine. Some of the panels with trickier perspective aren't very pleasing to look at, but overall the art is just... fine. FL is a meek, "plain" doormat office worker and the ML is the handsome popular guy in the office. There's an evil scheming other woman. You've read this before, a dozen times over, only this time there's quick and kinda boring spicy scenes too. Yay? ML starts getting aggressive and rapey in chapter 4 so I'm dropping it - I really can't stand that kind of behavior even in fiction and I'm glad to see less of it in 2026.

    Well...
I knew something was fishy when the ML immediately starts talking about the size of the FL's chest upon their FIRST meeting in the FIRST chapter and then only a couple panels later is putting hands on her. No thank you. At least the art is beautiful...?

    Distracting art and pointless miscommunication
The artist is either a complete beginner or the editor was asleep at the wheel. Expressions are flat, eyes are blank circles of gray, hair looks limp and thin. Worst of all, dresses and hairstyles change from panel to panel like the artist forgot what they were doing in between. And then to have a cliche, overdone miscommunication plot on top of it? Cmon yall we can do better than this

Typical shoujo pretending to be josei
This review contains spoilers. Art is both sketch like and stiff; the chibi panels and humorous moments don't really land when most other panels feature the same kinds of flat expressions and posing. It's like another artist popped in and out randomly.

Also I have to ask: is it actually romantic to have your ex change the trajectory of your career just so he can talk to you? Interfering like that is a personal ick; the ML using his power and influence to move the FL's life around like she's a doll is gross. And then you find out his reasons for being cold to her in CHAPTER 2??? and they're about as goofy as you'd expect. No point in paying for more chapters imo.

    50% frustrating, 50% fun
Fair warning: every single adult in this is irritating at one point or another, often multiple times, and there are some super cliche plot points that I scratched my head over. I appreciate that it's not obvious who she ends up with, and I do wish we saw more reflection on her part before the end, but I'm personally really happy with how it ended lmao. I wouldn't say it's a light happy read, but as far as josei goes, I'm satisfied.

    Princess Caroline my beloved
This review contains spoilers. I'm really really enjoying this!! The art is beautiful, the comedy is done well, and the author moves things along at a nice clip. All of the characters are great, even the side characters: the scene where masc!Caroline shows up in the library oh my GODDDDD I love her. In fact I love that there are NO evil woman characters (sigh of relief) and the one time we expect one, she is subverted into Nicole's biggest champion. I love that so much. There are some really interesting nuggets about how women are treated in society, and Keios panicking and considering trapping Nicole so she doesn't leave him was both understandable and icky. He has some growing to do and I'm excited to see it!

I do have a mild critique: misunderstandings can be mined for comedy, yes, and the author does find new angles to pull laughs from, but as of chapter 11 I keep waiting for Nicole to like... get mad? The rock-solid obliviousness is starting to make me think she might just be a little dumb. Nothing wrong with that! But I think the author is waiting to make her angry because that will likely lead to a more transparent conversation, and we aren't there yet, and I'm just a little dissatisfied with it rn. Regardless I love this sm!!!!

    Low stakes, fairly boring
This review contains spoilers. I expect romances like this to be light on plot, but this one is especially thin: Hitoe is in love with her husband but thinks he doesn't love her back so she wants to divorce. Okay cool except now he's acting different after they've had sex what could it mean???? Like cmon diva wake up 😭 It'd be different if someone was pressuring her for some reason, if there were financial reasons to split up, SOMETHING but no. Adding a pregnancy to this weak story only gives them more incentive to stay together, which makes her reason for wanting to divorce even MORE silly. No thanks lol

    Too short to be effective
This review contains spoilers. The art is gorgeous and the bones of an interesting story are here, but cramming it all into a one shot feels like a mistake. The villains could have been built up better but instead are just unhinged and evil because Emilia "has better hair ornaments" lmao. Even the ML could have been a good yandere but we see so little of him he just looks insane. Bleh 😭

    Adorable but...
They are drawn so wildly differently I can't like, fully enjoy it. He's gorgeous, she looks like she stepped out of a 1977 Harlequin. Cute but hard to get past that personally 😭

    😑
This review contains spoilers. The ML and FL lie to each other constantly. She lies about not wanting to get married; he lies that he doesn't know the evil ex girlfriend the FL meets in chapter 3, then calls the evil ex while she's having dinner with the FL. Two wrongs don't make a right, etc, and you will not catch me paying MORE money to read about these two dweebs.

    Irritating
This review contains spoilers. I read up to chapter 5 to see how things progressed but I'm dropping it. FL initially doesn't tell the ML who she is because she's worried about the deception negatively impacting her friend and her friend's business, but the friend is like "oh no don't worry it'll be fine!" and then it is?? So why did we bother with this setup if there won't be any consequences or challenges for the characters to go through? It makes the story feel ridiculous and the characters look dumb. No thank you. By the end of chapter 4 she STILL hasn't told him the truth despite Arisa saying multiple times she should smh. It's possible things improve in later chapters, but I can't stand romances that are built upon continued, ongoing deception like that so I'm giving this one a pass.

    Weaponized incompetence + doormat romance
ML is a loser who begs the FL to do everything for him, interferes with her life, stalks her, and makes her think they slept together when they didn't. FL allows all of this because she's desperate to get a boyfriend because... all her friends have one? Don't pmo

    Bland and distant
I don't think this artist was the best choice for this story. Characters are drawn like they're teenagers, not tall adults in their mid- to late-twenties. FL seems sweet but ML is opaque to the point of boring, and we aren't really given much to work with personality-wise for either of them (other than that she's tall and he's a dummy for getting lost? idk)

    Silly and fun!
The humor is a little more slapstick than I typically go for, but if you enjoy watching two dummies figure out a second chance at romance, you'll probably have fun with this one. My absolute favorit character is her childhood friend with the :3 face. I LOVE HIMMMMMMM he deserves the world

    Bad pacing, poor editing
Translation is off, typesetting was barely cared about, punctuation is optional apparently? Beyond that, the pacing is SO fast you'll get whiplash, and characters appear from out of nowhere in dramatic moments and force you to question the laws of physics. Characters are boring, FL is pathetic in an unappealing way, just bleh all around. Skip this one.

Super cute - was it axed?
I devoured this tbh. Adorable, engaging characters facing realistic interpersonal challenges, truly gorgeous art (like!!!! oh my god so beautiful!!!!), and occasional chapters featuring side characters that touch upon different themes and issues. Really well done. Except this series is marked as Complete but clearly isn't; chapter 21 ends just before the main couple go on a side quest and apparently that's it? 😭 Please say it isn't so !!

    The perfect josei omg
Such a beautiful, understated story!!! It doesn't overstay its welcome with 15 excellent chapters, and discusses grief, family, and burnout with empathy and grace. I'd say this is low on butterfly-inducing romance with a capital R, but it's also low on manufactured drama and unnecessarily villainous dorks, which is a net positive in my book. I cried at least twice by the end and will absolutely reread this in the future. 100/10 stars!!!

    Dumb and regressive
This review contains spoilers. If you want to read about a woman go through terrible things with awful men, hoping the male lead saves her every time, be my guest. Mei is almost assaulted by a cartoonishly evil ex-boyfriend in a hotel room and no joke thinks to herself, SAVE ME TAKAYUKI!! like don't pmo

    10/10 Shoujo Wish Fulfilment
This is so sweet and light and perfect 😭 It's the kind of manga I would have given anything to read when I was in high school. Both main characters are sweethearts, I really love her goofy beautiful best friend, and even though the story beats are silly and improbable, they're set up so smoothly you can't really help but enjoy the ride. PLEASE give this a try!!

    Ridiculous height gap
This is fluffy and adorable, a perfect palate cleanser. But I cannot take the main couple seriously. She's four feet tall, he's six foot nine. Please be so for real
