This is a very typical misunderstanding trope where the FL believes she’s in a loveless marriage while the ML is actually super into her, but what makes it super frustrating is how pathetic the FL comes off. The ML does something super normal (gets her flowers) and she is touched that he cares for her. Fam, my friends do that for me. Then she meets a lovely new guy and she’s just too hung up over this dude who literally slept with her then pretended it never happened. Like if this is supposed to be romantic then we’re absolutely cooked. There are much better misunderstanding-trope romances out there. This one isn’t worth the money and kinda wish I didn’t unlock as many as I did……

This review contains spoilers. These stories always end up pmo but I was hoping this one would be different. It wasn't. ML is rude and cold to FL in the first chapter, FL is so sad about it, there's usually an evil woman character for no *good* reason (it's his mother in this one), they divorce, ML does a 180, FL blushes and wonders why... Please spare me. My LEAST favorite part of these is that at some point the FL thinks wow.... Maybe I should have opened up to him instead of wanting him to be nice to me.... and it's always horrendous. This time it was in chapter 5. He was rude af to her when she said good morning, hi how are you!! She tries to talk to him and he stonewalls her for months. PLEASE 😭 then of course he's been in love with her the whole time and I give up. If your story can be resolved by one candid conversation between two characters who have no good reason to ignore each other, it might not be a very good story. The art isn't even very good: FL says something about his expressions swaying her emotions, when every time we see him his face is like 😐 or MAYBE 😕. Blegh!!!
