Reviews for The Saintess of Water and the Crimson Prince-Full Color Manga

The story itself is actually a bit interesting. I like the back story with the elemental kings to explain the magic and everything. The idea of a saintess is nothing new, of course, but it's still a good story. I do have to say that her having the addition of being 'reincarnated' into the world from ours is stupid, to put it lightly. It really didn't need the isaki element in any way. It doesn't add anything to the story. The bit about oxygen that she talks about in the beginning is something that they more than likely would have observed as a civilization anyway. They might not know what oxygen is, but they would be able to put together that fire being exposed to fresh air makes it stronger. She also already wanted to save people, so her being a fire fighter in her past life also doesn't add to that either. It's simply an unneeded detail that just feels like story padding.

As of chapter 20: I don’t love the art in this series. The story is a little weak. Even though the FL was a firefighter in her past life, that knowledge doesn’t give her an edge in any capacity.

The sister putting a seal on the FL was a major red alarm that hints at her being a backstabber. The artist did a good job hiding it by always portraying her with a kind smile.

It’s frustrating that the FL’s father doesn’t listen to the FL at all and always takes the other sister’s side. It’s hard to tell what his agenda is because he just lets the fire villain do whatever and is trying to prevent the FL from becoming the saint. It’s giving “traitor to the kingdom” vibes.
